Holocaust Museum of Houston

dear Arah and Arsam,

After a refreshing weekend reuniting with Grandma and khaleh Farnaz at Googoosh concert we all went to visit the Holocaust museum of Houston.  We got a tour of the facility and met with Amoo Moji there.  There were several survivors of Holocaust who fled to Houston after WWII and claimed the city their final desition.  The photos, and many artifacts were memorabilia donated by their family to the museum.  Here are some of the highlights of the visit, in hopes that we never, ever repeat the history nor do we stand quiet doing nothing when the evil happens.

• Hitler gave a cross-shaped medal of Honor to those moms giving birth to blue-eyed, blond hair babies in favor of preserving the Aryan race!  
• He had a propaganda for 'buying German goods only'.  There is a freakishly close resemblance of that mindset to our today's leaders slogan!  
• He burnt many classic books including Ernest Hemingway, and Helen Keller's children's books.  He did not believe in German children reading novels from disabled authors!  There is a close parallel to that with our current leader mocking the disabled reporters, P.O.W which is far too dangerous
• He utilized Euthanasia program as a result. Forced sterilization in Germany was the forerunner of the systematic killing of the mentally ill and the handicapped. In October 1939, Hitler himself initiated a decree which empowered physicians to grant a “mercy death” to “patients considered incurable according to the best available human judgment of their state of health.” The intent of the so-called “euthanasia” program, however, was not to relieve the suffering of the chronically ill. The Nazi regime used the term as a euphemism: its aim was to exterminate the mentally ill and the handicapped, thus “cleansing” the “Aryan” race of persons considered genetically defective and a financial burden to society.
• He initiated courses in German colleges to study Human race and its anatomy, the facial features such as length and width of nose, chin protrusion attributed to Whites versus Jews to be able to distinguish the two from one another
• He conducted a research study to prove that Jewish blood is infected and poisonous and there were pictures showing Germans drawing blood from a woman to prove that claim. 
• He asked school students at schools to participate a 'Goverment run project' to help with a 'census' project to  identify the race of their grandparents, parents as to whether they were jew or not the real intent of which was to create a racially profiled database of the Jewish families within the country.  There is a similar resemblance in today's life with current president trying to create a muslim registry in the country.  
• Hitler actually recycled many of the old anti-semetic belives from the roman times.  He was well-versed in the history and used that to his advantage for his racist views.  Since the Romans, Jews were not allowed to marry, have physical intercourse with the Jews nor did they have the right to hold governmental positions.  The Aryan Germans started to bring back the old myths in the 1880's again. 

• Above: Standing the prisoners in lines for several hours to see who falls.  Those fallen, would be shot to death.  The concentration camp prisoners ate around 200 callories a day only.  The devistation of Holcaust was 6 million dead including 1.5 million children.  
• after the war, President Eisenhower ordered reporters, journalists, photographers to collectively collaborate to document everything they withnessed, photographed to archive the remnants of the war and what was seen to avoid the denial of the Nazi's within the next 10 years of anything that happened.  Many nazi generals fled to South America/Argantina,... without ever being prosecuted.  By 1948, UN passed a rulling by which ' Order from above' was not sufficient reasoning for being freed of prosecution and Nazi generals were held officially accountable for their crimes.
