You are 8 months old!

This 9th of May, it was mama's first mother's day with you and it wouldn't all be possible without you being born to this world.  We went to Boulder Reservoir for a Mother's day 9+K running race.  You were still too little to accompany mommy in this journey but you and daddy and grandma cheered me up along side the road  as mommy ran her first real race after your birth.  It was a beautiful spring day in Colorado and mommy got to explore the  motherhood experience in a unique different level!  In a way for me it was kind of like the 9+ months of growing and carrying you around in me going through different stages of the road.  Some exhausting, painful, uphill, and seemingly endless  and others joyous, hopeful, downhill, and full of ambition and pride and finally approaching the finish line and getting the sense of once again a beautiful, surreal, and incredible result.  They were all because of you my dear and with you in my soul and my mind.
However, as I was running I passed by a woman pushing a stroller with her 3 kids ages 3-5 inside. I told her 'God bless your heart, I can barely pull me!' and she replied:' hopefully they'll push me someday...!' and I looked at her and all those striving, determined, and selfless women especially those with their kids along side with them and asked myself and thought about what it must really mean to be a Mom.
A special Note on Motherhood:
A mother's role is to encourage and prepare her kids for the next levels just as the sequence of kilometers of the race, and to provide them with insight for fundamental things in life to give them the opportunity to grow up as self sufficient, young adults and live a fulfilling, happy life.

Perhaps a mom's role is to teach them the importance of being grateful and not feel entitled to the privileges that they have in this greedy world and to be helpful and fair to others and treat others equally.
It is about raising them to have self confidence but not self absorption and having a very strong sense of motive and not be afraid of failure. They will be successful  if they find joy in every thing they do, follow their dreams, and passions and make them a reality!   I have a dream for all of these my dear and I am very excited to watch you on your path to success and am always here to help you, understand you, to support you and to love you.

You love to walk, you're so close to making it  and you're are not afraid of falls, and bumps; I need to keep a constant eye on you though to help you get through this stage and walk all by yourself independently.
