Lego magic lessons!

Alternatively titled 'Sunday afternoon happenings around our house' (besides an insane amount of cooking home made meals, 4-5 loads of laundry, and grocery shopping, and more and more cleaning of course). we have to make an effort to find some quality time to reconnect and bond as a family.  This was partially a rather drastic move due to the discovery a couple of new occasions of seemingly oblivious Arah breaking into our cell phones, uploading a photo of our wedding(God knows how!) on Mehdi's facebook and a substantial charge on my cellphone bill due to  downloading an unknown race car game and playing it for herself on her leisure time.(gulp) The results of the change, not bad at all!
I think we all know Arah has a passion for legos and building blocks but we were still fascinated by how simple and quick the transition was, considering how stubborn she can be at times but  in fact Arah adapted so well to and loved the new distraction, I mean activity so much I think it is going to be a ritual in our house hold from now on!

Daddy teaching Arah how to build a sturdy tower

Arah building her 'super tall' tower in the same red slippers I used to build towers in when I was about 2!!

Love those concentration lips on both of them!

All done! Yayyy for herself of course!
In a way, this should be a thank you to Arah for reminding us( in her own word-less deliberate, way) of what our priorities should  be and what we should really focus on as a family. This was in a sense, an incarnation of old family values which  tend to get pushed to the back burner sometimes with the invasion of waves of new technology but we'll make sure to not loose sight of that!
Ahhh, now only if these legos would gather themselves!
